Pune: Manoj Jarange Patil, the Maratha community leader currently spearheading the Maratha reservation movement, made pointed remarks regarding Pankaja Munde’s recent selection to the Maharashtra Legislative Council.

Jarange said, "Pankaja Munde should be grateful to the Maratha community, as it was their support that ensured her return as an MLC. He subtly criticized Munde by suggesting that without the backing of Maratha MLAs, she might have continued her political exile."

When questioned about the potential clash between the Vanjari and Maratha communities during the elections, Jarange explained, "We did not engage in any form of caste-based politics in Beed."

He revealed that a comprehensive assessment of all 288 constituencies had been completed and hinted that the Maratha candidates would soon be announced. Additionally, he indicated that a major decision would be made on August 29 at Antarwali.

Jarange Patil refrained from commenting on Prakash Ambedkar, choosing instead to keep his stance reserved, suggesting that future developments could dictate his position.

Expressing gratitude towards the Pune community, Jarange reaffirmed his commitment to the collective fight for Maratha reservations, stating that this struggle was not solely his but belonged to the entire community.

He dismissed recent statements by Anil Bonde and Devendra Fadnavis, maintaining his focus on securing reservations from the OBC quota.

Furthermore, Jarange condemned accusations from certain members of the OBC and Maratha communities who, he claimed, were attempting to tarnish his reputation.

Despite these challenges, he vowed to continue his fight for the welfare of the community, with a vision of establishing a government that serves the common people.

The rally led by Manoj Jarange Patil in Pune, which saw massive participation from the Maratha community, commenced after a six-hour delay. Supporters braved the heavy rain, eagerly awaiting the arrival of Jarange Patil, demonstrating their unwavering support.
