Pune: If you are not SET or NET qualified but wish to pursue a Ph.D., this year's Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) may be your last chance. The university has announced the PET exam, with the application process now open. The exam is scheduled for August 24.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) had decided that Ph.D. admissions should be based on NET scores.
However, considering the timing of the decision and the university's preparation for PET, SPPU sought guidance from UGC on whether to conduct Ph.D. admissions through PET for the academic year 2024-25.
