Pune: In a stern action against local criminal activities, the Pimpri-Chinchwad police apprehended a goon named Nakul Gaikwad after a video of him abusing and extorting money from a street vendor went viral on social media.

The incident took place in the Pimple Gurav area, where Gaikwad was seen in the video verbally assaulting the vendor and creating chaos at the shop.

What exactly happened?

In the video, goon Nakul Gaikwad is seen verbally abusing a pan shop owner at Pimple Gurav, throwing the vendor’s items around, and extorting money from him.

This video went viral on social media a few days ago. It has been observed that such goons often make reels supporting their criminal activities and intimidating citizens.

Previously, the Pune Police Commissioner had summoned several such goons to the police headquarters for identification, but these activities have not reduced. As a result, the police have now adopted a different and stricter approach.

What did the police do?

The police first tracked down the goon, Nakul Gaikwad, and intimidated him about his actions. They even shaved his head. Afterward, the goon admitted his wrongdoing and confessed to his actions in front of the police camera.

While admitting to extorting money, he said, "Yesterday, I hit the street vendor and took money from him. The Sangvi police team has explained the matter to me in clear terms. I won’t engage in such activities in the future, and I advise others not to do so either."
