Pune: Manorama Khedkar, mother of IAS officer Puja Khedkar, has received a notice from the Pune Municipal Corporation demanding the removal of unauthorized construction outside her residence in Baner.

The notice requires the removal of the structure within seven days, failing which it will be demolished by the anti-encroachment department of the municipal corporation.

IAS officer Puja Khedkar, who was previously undergoing training at the Pune District Collector's office, has been transferred to Washim following a report of misconduct.

Additionally, allegations of submitting incorrect documents prior to her selection for the IAS are under investigation. Compounding these issues, a case has been registered against Manorama Khedkar at the Paud Police Station for allegedly pointing a gun and assaulting a farmer in Mulshi Taluka during a land possession dispute.

Manorama Khedkar resides in plot number 112 of the National Housing Society in Baner. She has constructed a three-foot wide, two-foot high, and sixty-foot long structure on the sidewalk adjacent to her row house, which has been deemed unauthorized.

The Pune Municipal Corporation's notice demands its removal within seven days, warning that failure to comply will result in the structure being demolished by the corporation's encroachment department.

As new controversies regarding IAS officer Puja Khedkar continue to surface, her family has not made any public statements. It will be important to see how they respond to the municipal corporation's latest action.

Previously, Chatuhshrungi Traffic Police have issued a notice to Puja Khedkar asking her to bring her private Audi car for document scrutiny and further investigations into the illegal use of beacon.

Traffic police had to issue this notice on Thursday (July 11) evening, after Puja's mother Manorama threatened to send police and mediapersons to jail, who had been at the gate of Khedkar residence in National Housing Society.
