PMPML Adjusts Bus Routes for Improved Access to Swargate Metro Station

Starting October 11, the modifications apply to Metro Shuttle No. 13 and bus routes No. 38, 216, and 297.

Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has revised four bus routes, allowing passengers from South Pune to travel directly to Swargate Metro Station.

This move is aimed at increasing convenience for commuters and improving connectivity between bus services and the newly operational metro line from Swargate to Pimpri.

Starting from Friday, October 11, the modifications apply to Metro Shuttle No. 13 and bus routes No. 38, 216, and 297. These routes will now terminate at Swargate Metro Station, enabling smoother transitions for passengers using the metro. PMPML has also increased the frequency of buses on these routes, providing more efficient services to the public.

The modifications include the following changes:

  • Metro Shuttle No. 13: The route between Upper Depot and Civil Court, Shivajinagar, will now terminate at Swargate Metro Station. An additional 30 trips will be scheduled, with buses arriving every 20 minutes.

  • Bus Route No. 38: The Dhankawadi to N.T. Wadi route will now end at Swargate Metro Station, with 68 additional trips scheduled. Buses will arrive every 10 minutes, offering frequent service for commuters.

  • Bus Route No. 216: The Bharati Vidyapeeth to Shivajinagar route will terminate at Swargate Metro Station, with 32 extra trips, providing bus service every 15 minutes on average.

  • Bus Route No. 297: The route between Rajesh Society and Shivajinagar will now end at Swargate Metro Station, with buses scheduled every 1 hour and 30 minutes, ensuring periodic connectivity.

PMPML has urged passengers to utilize these enhanced services, which are expected to offer greater flexibility and convenience for metro commuters.
