Pune: The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has announced the launch of a lottery scheme for 1,337 remaining flats in its affordable housing projects.

The online application process for these flats will begin on Saturday, October 12, and interested applicants will have one month to submit their applications.

The lottery scheme was inaugurated by Dr. Yogesh Mhase, PMRDA Commissioner, during a formal event attended by key officials, including Additional Commissioner Deepak Singla, Chief Engineer Ashok Bhalkar, Assistant Commissioner Himmat Kharade, and Tehsildar Abhijeet Jagtap.

The flats are available under various schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Lower Income Group (LIG), as well as the Affordable Housing Scheme.

Specifically, 47 flats are reserved for the EWS in Ward No. 12, 614 flats for the LIG category, and 347 flats are available under the Affordable Housing Scheme, with an additional 329 flats for the LIG in Wards 30-32.

The flats under the EWS category of the PMAY have a carpet area of 29.55 square meters and are priced at ₹15,74,424. For the LIG category, the flats measure 59.27 square meters and are priced at ₹35,57,200. Under the Affordable Housing Scheme, the flats measure 25.52 square meters with a price of ₹20,90,771, while LIG flats in the same scheme measure 34.57 square meters and are priced at ₹28,32,208.

Interested buyers will need to deposit an earnest money amount of ₹5,000 for EWS flats and ₹10,000 for LIG flats. Additionally, an application fee of ₹708, inclusive of GST, must be paid for both categories. The entire lottery process will be conducted using a computerized system to ensure transparency.

Applicants can apply for the lottery through the official website of the PMRDA's housing portal at https://housing.pmrda.gov.in. The lottery system aims to provide affordable housing to eligible citizens in Pune under these schemes, and the PMRDA expects significant participation in the month-long application process.
