Police Discover Dual-Team Strategy in Vanraj Andekar Murder Case

Shivraj Sanas

Pune: Investigations into the Vanraj Andekar murder case have revealed that the accused meticulously planned the crime using a dual-team strategy. According to police reports, the murder plot involved two separate teams prepared for different roles during the attack.

The team that executed the attack has been identified as "Team A." A second group, labeled as "Team B," was positioned near the crime scene to intervene if a confrontation occurred between the two parties.

This strategic setup was intended to ensure the success of the murder, with "Team B" serving as backup in case of any unforeseen complications.

The information regarding these teams came to light during the interrogation of the 13 individuals who are accused of carrying out the actual attack. Following these revelations, the Pune Crime Branch has started analyzing CCTV footage from the area to gather additional evidence that may support these claims.

Meanwhile, the police custody of five key suspects in the case, including Vanraj Andekar’s sister Sanjeevani Jayant Komkar (37), her brother-in-law Prakash Laxman Komkar (51), Somnath Sayaji Gaikwad (41), Ganesh Laxman Komkar (37), and Jayant Laxman Komkar (52), has been extended until September 12. The court granted the extension to allow police further time for investigation and questioning.

The police are thoroughly investigating the roles of both "Team A" and "Team B" in the murder and are working to uncover further details about the elaborate planning that went into the crime.

The discovery of the two-team setup indicates that the accused were well-prepared and had anticipated potential challenges during the murder attempt.
