Pune: In a remarkable display of determination, Pragati Shivaji Kashid, hailing from the small village of Nirvangi in Indapur taluka, has achieved double success in the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) examinations.
Despite facing significant financial challenges, Pragati's perseverance and hard work have paved the way for her to secure a government job as a Sales Tax Inspector.
Pragati completed her entire education in Pune, attending Modern College for her 11th and 12th grades. After completing her B.Sc. in 2020, she began preparing for competitive exams during the lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The lockdown provided her with more time to study, which greatly benefited her.
To prepare for the MPSC exam, Pragati needed private coaching for a few days, but the family could not afford it due to financial constraints.
However, she received help from Shankar Maharaj Shewale. Pragati's first attempt at the MPSC exam fell short by just 2 marks, but she did not give up.
She prepared more vigorously for the second attempt, and her determination and persistence paid off as she succeeded this time. The villagers of Nirvangi praised her efforts, and she was felicitated in her village.
Pragati Kashid shared that she studied for 10 to 12 hours daily, limited her mobile phone use to essential needs, and did not use social media. She utilized YouTube for studying.
Due to her regular and consistent efforts, she passed the competitive exam and is set to become a Sales Tax Inspector.
Her grandmother, Shilavati Kashid, and grandfather, Maruti Kashid, expressed pride in her achievement, stating that Pragati has brightened the name of their family and village.
