Pune: Cabs are not allowed for pickup at the new terminal of Pune airport. However, the airport administration has allowed cabs to pick up passengers if they are differently-abled, pregnant, single women or senior citizens. Now the same service will also be available to passengers on the mobile app.

The Aeromal administration has held talks with the cab service providers in this regard. Soon, the concerned company will make necessary changes in its system and soon passengers will get the option of pickup while booking a cab.

This will facilitate passengers. The airport administration has barred cabs from pickup at the old and new terminals to avoid congestion of vehicles in the terminal premises and inconvenience to passengers.

The airport administration has excluded pregnant, single women, differently-abled and senior citizens as it affects senior as well as differently-abled passengers.

Just a few days ago, we allowed cabs to pick them up. But for this, they had to go to the available counter at the new terminal. Now that the service of pickup will be available on the app itself, passengers will not have to go to the counter.
