Pune Police Crime Branch Unit 3 successfully recovered a stolen two-wheeler and seven mobile phones from a minor during an operation aimed at cracking down on illegal activities.
The operation was conducted in the Uttamnagar area when the Crime Branch received a tip-off about a minor arriving to sell stolen goods.
The police team, acting swiftly on the intelligence provided by officer Pratik More, apprehended the minor. Upon interrogation, it was revealed that the seized Access moped had been stolen from Chikhali police station’s jurisdiction.
Additionally, a KTM RC 15 motorcycle, stolen from the Sinhagad Road area, was also recovered from the minor's possession. One of the seven mobile phones was linked to a theft case registered at the Uttamnagar police station.
The total value of the recovered items, including the two vehicles and mobile phones, is estimated at ₹1.6 lakh. The police are continuing their investigation to determine the origins of the other stolen mobile phones.
This operation was conducted under the guidance of Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner Ranjan Kumar Sharma, Additional Commissioner Shailesh Balkawade, Deputy Commissioner Nikhil Pingale, and Assistant Commissioner Ganesh Ingle.
The operation was led by Senior Police Inspector Rangrao Pawar, Sub-Inspector Mahesh Kokate, and a team consisting of officers Sharad Wakase, Sanjeev Kalambe, Kedar Adhav, Ganesh Sutar, Vinod Jadhav, Sonam Nevse, Sujit Pawar, Pratik More, Dnyaneshwar Chitte, Ganesh Shinde, Harish Gaikwad, Rakesh Tekavde, and Isaac Pathan.
