Pune: Delivery Executive Fatally Stabbed by Friend Over Raincoat Argument

Pune: A young man delivering food to homes was stabbed to death by a friend following a dispute over a raincoat in the Sinhagad Road area. The Sinhagad Road Police have arrested one person in connection with the incident.

The deceased has been identified as Aditya Shrikrishna Waghmare (age 23, resident of Kari, Dharur, Beed district). The accused, Suresh Parmeshwar Bhilare (age 18, resident of Jat Nandur, Dharur, Beed district), has been arrested. Siddheshwar More (age 24, resident of Valhekar Chowk, Narhe) filed the complaint at the Sinhagad Road Police Station.

According to the police, Aditya and Suresh were friends who worked together at a pizza delivery outlet. Both were originally from Beed district. In addition to delivering pizzas, they worked for a private company at night.

On Sunday morning, the two had a dispute over a raincoat. Suresh became angry because Aditya did not give him the raincoat. Later that night, around 10 PM, the two met near Zeal College in Narhe, where the argument over the raincoat escalated. Suresh stabbed Aditya in the ribs with a knife, causing severe injuries.

Aditya, who was seriously injured, was immediately taken to the hospital, but he was declared dead before receiving treatment, according to the police. Upon learning of the incident, Deputy Commissioner of Police Sambhaji Kadam visited the scene. Assistant Police Inspector Pravin Jadhav is investigating the case.
