Pune Enjoys Chilly Nights and Fog

The minimum temperature settled at 15.2 degrees Celsius in Pune city on Thursday.

Pune: In the last three to four days after Diwali ended, the minimum temperature has started to increase due to the decrease in the cold.

The minimum temperature settled at 15.2 degrees Celsius in Pune city on Thursday, leaving Puneites feeling a chill. Therefore, Puneites are seen thronging the footpath for exercise, enjoying the chilly winter as well as the fog in the morning.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the minimum temperature will hover around 16 degrees Celsius in the next two to three days.

Puneites are currently experiencing sunny skies throughout the day and cold at night. Last month, Pune was hot due to the October heat.

The maximum temperature had touched 36 degrees Celsius during this period. So it was hot. However, in the last four to five days, the intensity of the day has also decreased and it has started feeling cold at night.

According to the India Meteorological Department, cold wave conditions are likely to increase in the city and the state in the next few days. The met department has also predicted that the sky in Pune city will remain mainly clear and there is a possibility of fog in the morning.

In the first week of November itself, the cold wave had started to increase, but the temperature had increased during Diwali.

The minimum temperature in the city is likely to hover around 16 degrees Celsius on Friday, while the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 33 degrees Celsius, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
