Pune: Gelatin sticks found in Wadki village

Residents informed the police about the discovery of the gelatin sticks in Gavdara locality of Wadki village, located on Hadapsar-Saswad road.

Pune: In the Wadki village area near Dive Ghat, 67 gelatin sticks, used for explosives, were discovered. The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) seized the sticks from the site. A case has been registered at the Loni Kalbhor police station regarding this incident.

The gelatin sticks were found in the Gavdara locality of Wadki village, located on the Hadapsar-Saswad road. Residents informed the police about the discovery of the sticks near a hill close to the Gavdara locality.

The Loni Kalbhor police subsequently called in the BDDS to inspect the site. The investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the presence of the gelatin sticks, which pose a potential threat to public safety.

The use of gelatin sticks is common in excavation activities, such as digging deep pits and wells. The police have registered a case against unknown individuals for endangering the lives of citizens by leaving explosive materials in a populated area. The Loni Kalbhor police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
