Pune: Ganesh immersion procession is set to see stricter enforcement against noise pollution this year. Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar announced that 126 teams will be deployed throughout the city equipped with noise level meters to monitor and enforce sound regulations.

This move comes in response to complaints from last year, where the loud sounds from some mandals' sound systems caused significant disturbances to senior citizens and children.

The police have observed that some organizations install sound system barriers, which exacerbates noise levels. To address these concerns, the teams will ensure that all mandals comply with the prescribed noise level regulations.

The city's Ganesh festival is currently underway with enthusiasm and a positive atmosphere, and the police have praised the cooperation received from the mandals.

Amitesh Kumar said, "Preparations for the immersion procession have been thorough, including route inspections and consultations with relevant departments to resolve potential issues. The police are confident that this year's procession will proceed smoothly and in a well-regulated environment."

Ganesh festival is currently being celebrated with vibrant enthusiasm and a positive atmosphere. The police have expressed appreciation for the cooperation received from various Ganesh mandals, acknowledging their support in maintaining order and reducing noise pollution.

To facilitate a smooth immersion procession, the police have undertaken comprehensive preparations. This includes inspecting the procession routes and engaging with relevant departments to address and resolve any potential challenges.

The authorities have worked diligently to create a conducive environment for the event, aiming to ensure that the immersion procession proceeds without any hitches.
