Pune: Schoolboy Killed in Bicycle-Car Crash in Kalyaninagar

Vishrantwadi: In a tragic incident this morning around 8:30 AM, Shashwat Ram Bogade, a 15-year-old boy cycling to school, was fatally injured in a collision with a car in front of Marigold Society in Kalyaninagar, Yerawada.

Despite being rushed to a nearby private hospital, Shashwat was pronounced dead before treatment could begin.

Ravikant Ramdin Gaur, the 37-year-old driver of the Hyundai car involved in the accident, has been taken into custody, according to Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Shelke of the Yerawada Police Station.

Medical examination reports confirmed that Gaur had not consumed alcohol. The police have reviewed the CCTV footage from the scene and are continuing their investigation into the incident.
