Puneites solve 'Hawking Radiation' puzzle

The black hole constantly swallows celestial matter.

Pune: The optical emission emitted from the black hole is referred to as Hawking radiation. In 1974, world-renowned astronomer Stephen Hawking made a theoretical proposal about this. However, the laws of physics required to emit these emissions were not met.

For the past 50 years, the entire universe has been solving this puzzle. Finally, scientists in Pune have solved this and Marathi scientists have won the honor of one of the biggest discoveries in astrophysics.

Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) Scientist Naresh Dadhich and Professor of KwaZulu-Natal University in South Africa. Rituparna Goswami proved Hawking radiation on the test of physics.

He proved that "physician radiation" was responsible for the black hole's lack of stress on the horizon when swallowing space matter. The paper was recently published in the journal Physical Review D (Letters).

In 1941, Prahlad Chunnilal Vaidya gave a mathematical solution to Einstein's equations. It is known as 'Vaidya Solutions'. It is through this that scientists have solved Hawking radiation. Vaidya is a renowned astronomer. Jayant Narlikar's father Vishnu Narlikar was his favourite student. Interestingly, 25 years later, Prof. Naresh Dadhich was also a research student of Vishnu Narlikar.

What is the puzzle of 'Hawking radiation'?
Stephen Hawking made an important discovery about the black hole horizon (event horizon). Black holes swallow not only stars and planets, but also entire galaxies.

In this case, the more particles are pulled in near the black hole's horizon, the more particles are emitted outside (radiation, radiation). This is what 'Hawking radiation' is all about.

To expand, the black hole constantly swallows celestial matter. In this case, the horizon of the black hole is stretched, but the horizon should not be stretched to receive 'Hawking Radiation'. So scientists wondered exactly how to get 'Hawking radiation'.

Here's how the puzzle was solved..
Heat is generated by the tide of matter in a black hole. The radiation emitted from it is known as 'physician radiation' or radiation. Interestingly, physician radiation is a purely classical concept.

Which doesn't require quantum mechanics. Goswami and Dadhich proved that in order to maintain the strained position of the black hole's horizon, heat must be removed in the form of radiation.

It will release the same amount of energy as it needs to de-escalate tensions on the horizon. In a way, physician radiation works to maintain the position of the black hole's horizon.

"For a black hole to remain a black hole, it is necessary to control the matter on the horizon. Heat is generated by the tide of matter coming to the horizon, known as 'classical' physician radiation. Surprisingly, the black hole doesn't just emit Hawking radiation. It was proved that the 'classical' physician also emits radiation," said Prof Naresh Dadhich, senior astronomer, IUCAA.
