Pune: IAS Puja Khedkar's father, Dilip Khedkar, is under scrutiny for using a 'Government of India' board on a private vehicle belonging to Thermoverita Pvt Ltd. RTI Activist and AAP leader Vijay Kumbhar has made these allegations in his latest tweet on social media platform X.
Meanwhile, it is also revealed that Dilip Khedkar owns 14 gunthas of land in plot number 8, Waghalwadi, Someshwarnagar, of Baramati taluka. This land was reportedly purchased approximately 14 years ago.
Puja Khedkar was recently transferred by the state government following her allegedly unreasonable demands for a personal vehicle, bungalow, and staff.
The scandal surrounding her continues to deepen as more allegations surface. There are now calls for her appointment to be annulled due to the discovery that she may have secured her position with fraudulent certificates.
Further investigations have revealed discrepancies not only in the disability and OBC non-creamy layer certificates submitted by Khedkar but also in her father's financial declarations.
Dilip Khedkar had contested the Lok Sabha elections from Ahmednagar under the banner of the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi party. According to his affidavit submitted to the Election Commission, he declared assets worth ₹40 crore.
Right to Information activist Vijay Kumbhar pointed out that given Dilip Khedkar's substantial wealth, questions are being raised about Puja Khedkar's eligibility for OBC non-creamy layer status. Dilip Khedkar is a retired civil servant, and the source of his substantial assets is also under scrutiny.
Pune Rural Police have registered a case against Puja's mother, Manorama Khedkar, and father, Dilip Khedkar, at Paud Police Station after a video surfaced showing Manorama Khedkar brandishing a gun and threatening a farmer in Mulshi taluka in 2023.
