Pune: The announcement of the candidate lists for the Mahayuti has sparked unrest within the coalition, as visible dissatisfaction among key members begins to emerge.

One such episode occurred at a press conference held ahead of the nomination filing for Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA and Maharashtra minister Dilip Walse Patil, where tensions escalated over the question of support.

Vijay Aadari, the head of the tribal wing of Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, openly opposed the candidacy of Dilip Walse Patil during the press event.

Aadari claimed that he was invited to the meeting under the pretext of party discussions but was surprised to find a different agenda being pushed.

Expressing his discontent, Aadari stated, “I do not agree with this decision. Walse has continuously harassed me, making my life extremely difficult. Neither I nor my supporters will campaign for him.”

In a dramatic move, Aadari declared his immediate exit from the party in front of the media.

“I am leaving the party right now, but I won’t disclose my next steps just yet,” he added before abruptly leaving the press conference.

Aadari also accused Walse Patil of causing significant trouble in the tribal areas.

“I helped him get elected as chairman and supported him in his other work, but his treatment of me and others in the tribal regions has been unbearable. I live each day with my life in danger,” Aadari said.
