Pune: The Sambhaji Brigade has formally requested 25 seats from the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) for the upcoming Assembly elections, following their contribution to the alliance's success in the Lok Sabha elections.
The Sambhaji Brigade is particularly interested in contesting from the Parvati and Khadakwasla constituencies in Pune and the Shirur constituency in the district.
The Sambhaji Brigade, which is allied with the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray - UBT) faction, has prepared to contest 25 seats in the Assembly elections.
They have placed their seat demand before the MVA and are hopeful for a positive response, as stated by the district president of the Sambhaji Brigade, Chandrashekhar Ghadge, and Uttam Kamthe. Avinash Mohite, the city president, and Santosh Shinde, the state spokesperson, were also present at the event.
Sambhaji Brigade President Adv. Manoj Akhare is interested in contesting from the Hingoli constituency, while General Secretary Saurabh Khedekar is keen on the Chikhali constituency.
Santosh Shinde stated that the "beloved brothers" have put Maharashtra's democracy in jeopardy, and they will do whatever is necessary to defeat them and hoist the saffron flag at the state secretariat.
Democracy Awareness Grand Gathering
The Sambhaji Brigade has organized a "Democracy Awareness Grand Gathering" on Friday, August 23, at Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir.
The event will be guided by former Industries Minister Subhash Desai, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Ambadas Danve, Sambhaji Brigade President Adv. Manoj Akhare, General Secretary Saurabh Khedekar, and Chief Spokesperson Gangadhar Banbare.
