Pune: Sancheti Group of Hospitals has announced Pune’s first “Smart Ward” program in collaboration with Dozee, a pioneer in AI-based health monitoring systems.
This initiative aims to improve patient safety through continuous monitoring, leveraging Dozee’s AI-powered Remote Monitoring System (RMS) and Early Warning System (EWS) for proactive care.
Dr. Parag K Sancheti, MD & Chairman of Sancheti Group of Hospitals, shared the group’s vision: “Our commitment in healthcare goes beyond just treatment; it involves a relentless pursuit of innovations that redefine patient care.”
With Dozee’s RMS, Sancheti has introduced next-generation technology to its non-ICU wards, where patients’ vital parameters are tracked continuously and contact-free.
This program enhances patient care by enabling early alerts for potential health issues, allowing medical staff to intervene before conditions worsen.
The collaboration with Dozee, an AI-based solution using patented Ballistocardiography (BCG), allows Sancheti to remotely monitor key vitals, including heart rate, respiration rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, temperature, and ECG.
The EWS system automatically identifies trends in patients' vitals, sending alerts to healthcare providers, which enables them to respond to early signs of clinical deterioration.
A recent study in Frontiers in Medical Technology demonstrates that Dozee’s system can predict patient deterioration up to 16 hours in advance, giving healthcare teams crucial time for intervention.
According to Kaushal Pandya, India Head at Dozee, “Sancheti’s dedication to a patient-centered, innovative approach aligns perfectly with Dozee’s mission of bringing advanced safety tools to healthcare. This strategic integration ensures continuous monitoring and timely interventions, significantly improving patient care.”
