Pune: In a significant move aimed at empowering the youth of the Maratha and Kunbi communities, Baramati’s Atal Incubation Centre has been selected to implement the Sarathi Entrepreneurship Development (Incubation) Program.
This initiative, named after Sarsenapati Santaji Ghorpade, is a collaboration between the Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Research, Training, and Human Development Institute (Sarathi) and the Agricultural Development Trust, Baramati.
The program is designed to foster entrepreneurship by turning innovative ideas into viable startups, providing youth with the skills and resources necessary to thrive in the business world.
Nilesh Nalawade, CEO of the Agricultural Development Trust, Baramati, stated, "The selection of Baramati's Atal Incubation Centre for this program marks a significant opportunity for young entrepreneurs from the Maratha and Kunbi communities.
The initiative is focused on converting students' innovative concepts into successful startups, thereby boosting their entrepreneurial capabilities."
The program will involve selected startup incubators from across Maharashtra, working in conjunction with Sarathi to offer a comprehensive incubation scheme.
Recently, an agreement formalizing the selection of Baramati’s Atal Incubation Centre for this initiative was signed at Sarathi’s office in Pune.
Key officials present at the signing included Anil Pawar, Deputy Managing Director; Manisha Ahirrao, Research Officer; and Sonali Saste from Baramati's Atal Incubation Centre.
Sonali Saste highlighted the extensive support that will be provided under the program, stating, "Entrepreneurs will receive business guidance, technical support, financial aid, and all the necessary backing to scale their ventures.
The initiative will offer monthly financial assistance of Rs. 25,000 (seed fund) to ten selected startups for a period of one year. Eligible entrepreneurs will also receive essential training and facilities required to establish their startups."

Applicants are required to include key documents such as Aadhaar card, caste certificate, educational certificates, non-creamy layer certificate, and other necessary documentation.
The deadline for application submission is October 9, 2024. Atal Incubation Centre CEO Jaya Tiwari has encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs to prepare their documentation promptly and seize this valuable opportunity.
