Savitribai Phule Pune University Offers Course on 'Cyber Security'

Courses are Cybersecurity Specialist (CSS) (2 months, 18 credits), Mastering Information Security (MIS) (six months, 20 credits) and Cybercrime Investigator (CCI).

Pune: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and Transcendental Technologies have started the admission process for cyber security courses in the university.

Accredited by Direct Action International UK and the Canadian Association for Security and Intelligence Studies, Vancouver Canada, the courses will be for students, professionals and law enforcement personnel.

There will be three courses in Cybersecurity Specialist (CSS) (two months, 18 credits), Mastering Information Security (MIS) (six months, 20 credits) and Cybercrime Investigator (CCI) (six months, 28 credits).

The courses will be offered both in-person and online. The course covers important topics such as offensive and defensive security, security intelligence and investigation, security forensics and incident response, dark web, cloud security, network security, and cryptography.

More than 40 nationalities from the fields of cybersecurity, law enforcement and national security will guide students in the course.

Dr. Suresh Gosavi, Vice-Chancellor, Savitribai Phule Pune University said, "The cyber security course is a unique initiative started by the Department of Technology of Savitribai Phule Pune University. The course is taught by experts in the field concerned and professionals working in the field of cybersecurity."

Dr. Parag Kalkar, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Savitribai Phule Pune University said, "These courses play an important role in promoting awareness and skill building about cybersecurity. These courses are important in the context of cyber security measures and efforts to reduce cyber attacks."
