School Van Driver Arrested for Sending Obscene Messages to Schoolgirl

The accused, identified as Rajesh Patwale, reportedly sent a message to the girl expressing his affection for her.

Pune: In a shocking incident, a van driver responsible for transporting school students has been arrested after he allegedly sent inappropriate and obscene messages to a schoolgirl.

The incident came to light when the girl's parents discovered the messages and alerted members of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).

The accused, identified as Rajesh Patwale, reportedly sent a message to the girl expressing his affection for her. Outraged by this act, MNS workers, led by leaders Ganesh Bhokare, Vinayak Kotkar, Rishikesh Shinde, Narendra Tamboli, Nilesh Hande, and Sunil Loye, apprehended Patwale and handed him over to the police.

The victim is a student at a school. Patwale sent her a message saying, "I like you." The girl's parents became aware of this and informed the MNS workers.

Senior Police Inspector Girisha Nimbalkar of Deccan Police Station confirmed the arrest and assured that strict action would be taken against the accused.

A case has been registered against Patwale under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, and he has been arrested, according to Senior Police Inspector Girisha Nimbalkar of the Deccan Police Station.

Recently, there was an incident of abuse of minor girls in Badlapur, which has sparked outrage across the state. In protest against the Badlapur incident, political parties and social organization's are protesting at various locations. Just two days ago in Pune, there was an incident where a schoolgirl was forced to drink alcohol and was abused by her friends.
