Pune: A letter penned by a loyal worker from Daund Assembly constituency in Pune district to senior leader Sharad Pawar has gone viral.

This letter, sheds light on the political dynamics in Daund and the ongoing speculation regarding candidate selection by the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

The worker’s letter, currently circulating in various WhatsApp groups, provides a glimpse into the loyalty and concerns of grassroots party members as the election draws near.

With Sharad Pawar leading the charge after a major win in the Lok Sabha elections, there is widespread anticipation about the candidates who will represent his faction in the assembly elections.

In his letter, the worker recounts the political turbulence of the past two years, which saw Ajit Pawar’s 'defection' to the BJP and the ensuing rumors of Sharad Pawar’s political decline.

However, the writer highlights how the veteran leader's reputation and political clout only grew stronger, culminating in a resounding victory for the Maha Vikas Aghadi in the Lok Sabha elections.

The letter takes a personal tone, as the worker advises Pawar on selecting a candidate for the Daund Assembly constituency.

"The people you helped rise in politics from Daund later turned against Supriya Tai (Supriya Sule),” the worker writes, pointing out how some individuals tried to defeat Pawar's daughter in the elections.

Despite these challenges, voters in Daund rallied behind Sule, giving her a decisive lead of 25,000 votes in the Lok Sabha elections. The worker urges Pawar to nominate a loyal candidate for the upcoming assembly election, warning against backing political opportunists.
