Pune: The Maha Vikas Aghadi has fielded educated young leader, Yugendra Pawar, to contest from the Baramati Assembly constituency, a decision praised by senior leader Sharad Pawar.

At a press briefing following Yugendra Pawar's nomination submission, Sharad Pawar expressed his confidence in Baramati’s voters embracing this fresh leadership, signaling faith in a shift towards a younger generation.

During his address, Sharad Pawar shared personal insights, reminiscing about his own initial nomination in Baramati 57 years ago, remarking on his deep bond with the constituency that has elected him consecutively over the decades.

"The people’s commitment to a leader is key," he said, emphasizing the value of maintaining a consistent commitment to the electorate’s concerns. Pawar urged new candidates to prioritize resolving public issues, underscoring this as essential advice.

Regarding seat distribution and ongoing discussions within the alliance, Pawar noted, "Wherever there are concerns, both parties have submitted nominations, and we will deliberate to find a solution. The period for nomination withdrawal is still open, and while we have consensus in most areas, a few issues remain that we are set to resolve."

Responding to recent familial rhetoric from the opposition, Pawar commented, "The opposition failed to emphasize family relations during their four-and-a-half years in power, only now invoking it post-Lok Sabha results as a strategic move. I trust that the public will maintain their informed stance as we approach these elections."

Sharad Pawar concluded by affirming his faith in Baramati's voters, who have consistently supported him in past elections, expressing confidence in Yugendra Pawar’s success through significant support from the electorate.
