Pune: In a fiery speech at BJP’s Executive Meeting in Pune, Union Home Minister Amit Shah called Sharad Pawar the biggest corruption kingpin in Indian politics and accused Uddhav Thackeray of leading the Aurangzeb fan club. Shah questioned Thackeray’s ability to keep the state safe with a club in existence.

As BJP gears up for the upcoming assembly elections, Shah used the platform to highlight the party's development initiatives and counter what he described as false narratives spread by the opposition.

He debunked claims about milk powder imports, attributing the controversial notification to Pawar’s tenure, and reaffirmed that the Modi government had not imported any milk powder in the past decade.

Shah accused Pawar of institutionalizing corruption during his time in power and challenged him to justify his contributions to Maharashtra's development. He contrasted this with the significant financial aid provided by the Modi government, inviting Pawar to a public debate on the issue.

Praising the BJP’s role in securing Maratha reservations, Shah claimed that these benefits were only ensured under BJP governance, urging voters to support the party to maintain these gains.

The BJP held a convention in Pune in preparation for the upcoming assembly elections, attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis too launched a scathing attack on the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) while addressing party workers.

Following a recent victory over MVA in the Legislative Council, Fadnavis predicted that the Mahayuti would form the government after the upcoming Assembly elections. He highlighted the significance of the Chaturmas period, urging increased outreach efforts during this time.

Expressing confidence in the Mahayuti's future, Fadnavis recalled the public's resolve in 2014, their support in 2019, and predicted continued backing in 2024.

He dismissed rumors of defection among Mahayuti legislators, proudly stating that none had defected, whereas 20 opposition legislators had joined Mahayuti without the opposition's awareness. Fadnavis likened the opposition's position to a burst bubble and emphasized the need for continued vigilance.
