'Shiv Pratap Week' to be Celebrated across the Country

In Pune, the idol of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will be worshiped at the place where there is a Shiv Smarak.

Pune: Shri Shivshambhu Vichar Manch is organizing 'Shiv Pratap Week' not only in the state but also in the country on the occasion of Shiv Pratap Diwas.

The week will be celebrated from November 10 to 17. Idols of deities will be anointed at all forts in the state, while lectures, mardaani games and idols of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will be worshiped in village temples.

Senior historian and chief guide of Vichar Manch Pandurang Balkawade said at a press conference on Saturday that 'Lord Ganesh' will be worshiped at the Kasba Ganapati temple in Pune at 7 am on Sunday. This year marks the 365th anniversary of 'Shiv Pratap', so more than 1,000 events have been organised in the state.

There will be 20 to 25 events a week in every district of the state, as well as in the places where Maratheshahi had expanded in the country. The victory celebrations of 'Shiv Pratap' will be celebrated in Delhi, Panipat, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Jhansi, Dewas, Dhar, Jabalpur, Thanjavur etc.

In Pune, the idol of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will be worshiped at the place where there is a Shiv Smarak. Balkawade said that the idol of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will also be worshiped at Lal Mahal.

Convener Sudhir Thorat, Co-Convener Mohan Shete, Guide Colonel (Retd) Parag Modak, Guide Vikramsinh Mohite and others were present on the occasion.
