Pune: Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) faction leader Vasant More has targeted social media influencer Atharva Sudame over his recent viral humorous video post on Pune.

In a recent Facebook post, More has expressed his anger over a video shared by Sudame that portrayed aspects of daily life in Pune. More has warned Sudame against disrespecting Pune residents.

It may be recalled that Maharashtra Navnirman Sena Chief Raj Thackeray had publicly appreciated Atharva Sudame during an event "Maharashtra Navnirman Reel Baaz" for his content creation. Raj Thackeray had said that Atharva Sudame is his favorite content creator.

Vasant More's threat warning to Sudame highlights the ongoing sensitivity around regional pride and the influence of social media content on public figures. Netizens have criticized More and requested him to 'focus' on more critical and important issues pertaining to Pune city and resolve them.

After parting ways with the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) party, Vasant More contested the Lok Sabha elections on a Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi ticket. However, he faced defeat.

A few days later, he met with Uddhav Thackeray. On July 9, 2024, Vasant More officially joined the Uddhav Thackeray faction of Shiv Sena.

Atharva had created a humorous video commenting on the daily life of Pune residents. In this video, some people are seen asking him for directions to major locations in Pune, to which Atharva responds in his humorous style. However, this video did not sit well with Vasant More.

Vasant More expressed his displeasure by saying, "Sometimes, I get so angry with this Sudame that I feel like even though he makes a living from reels, he disrespects us Pune residents in the process. Sudame, I have only one thing to say to you: If you are a true Pune resident, stop playing with the dignity of Pune residents, or one day I'll have to take time out to deal with you..."
