Pune: A midnight shootout between two rival groups in Khanapur village, located 10 kilometers from Khadakwasla, has left one person dead and another critically injured.

The incident, which took place on Saturday (September 14) night, is believed to have been sparked by long-standing enmity between the two groups. The injured individual has been admitted to a private hospital and is receiving treatment.

The shooting unfolded on the Khanapur to Sambarewadi road, near the village marketplace along the Pune-Panshet road.

According to reports, the altercation began when one group opened fire, allegedly over previous hostilities, and the other group responded with gunfire of their own. Following the exchange, members of both groups fled the scene, leaving the community in shock and confusion.
