Pune: Devotees of Shri Tuljabhavani Devi can now avail themselves of a special darshan pass online for ₹500 as announced by the temple committee. Previously, the facility was only available offline at the temple administration office's ground floor.
The temple committee has been offering two types of donation passes for darshan: ₹200 and ₹500. The online service for the ₹500 pass has now been introduced, allowing devotees across the state and the country to obtain passes through a mobile app. This service will be operational starting Monday, July 22.
Tuljabhavani Devi, known as the complete Shakti Peetha among the three and a half Shakti Peethas, attracts a large number of devotees from all over the state and the country every year.
Managing the crowd during peak times has always been a challenge for the temple administration. To facilitate the convenience of devotees, the temple committee has implemented the donation darshan facility for several years.
Devotees can avail free darshan such as Dharmadarshan, Mukhadarshan, and Kalashdarshan by standing in line. However, to skip the line and get a quicker darshan of Tuljabhavani Devi, the ₹200 and ₹500 donation passes have been introduced.
Additionally, the temple committee offers online donations, online darshan passes, online abhishek, and registration for the throne puja using an online system.
Before Ashadhi Ekadashi, the chairman of the Tuljabhavani Temple Committee and district collector Dr. Sachin Ombase inspected the various facilities at the Vitthal Temple in Pandharpur. He explored the possibility of implementing similar services at the Tuljabhavani Temple.
Following this, the previously offline-only ₹500 special darshan pass service is now available online. Somnath Mali, the temple's tehsildar, announced in a press statement that devotees can now register for this special donation darshan pass through the temple committee's mobile app available on the Google Play Store.
