Pune: Ayurveda must be given the recognition and prominence it rightfully deserves, said Dr. Madhu Chopra, a renowned cosmetologist and advocate for holistic wellness.

She made these remarks during the inauguration of the SoulVeda Wellness and Panchakarma Clinic in Model Colony. The event was hosted by Dr. Jayant Abhyankar, the founder of Sharangdhar Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd.

Dr. Chopra, who has both an MBBS and an Ayurveda practitioner in her family, shared her personal insights into the benefits of Ayurveda. She emphasized the importance of balancing and integrating fact-based medical systems, stating that Ayurveda is a time-tested science passed down through generations.

Dr. Jayant Abhyankar highlighted the significance of integrated medicine, acknowledging that each medical system has its unique strengths and limitations.

He reflected on Sharangdhar’s journey since its inception in 1985 and noted the shift in public perception, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. He explained that the growing importance of Ayurveda is due to its focus on addressing root causes of health issues, enhancing the body’s natural healing power and immunity.

Initially dedicated solely to Ayurveda products, Sharangdhar Pharmaceuticals has now expanded into the service sector with the launch of ‘SoulVeda,’ offering a comprehensive wellness solution.

Addressing a young audience, Dr. Chopra stressed the importance of self-acceptance and cautioned against letting physical appearance impact mental health. She encouraged a need-based approach to personal care, rather than one driven by vanity.

Dr. Chopra also advocated for a lifestyle that includes eating seasonal and local foods, regular exercise, meditation, and a nutritious diet, which she credited for her sustained high energy levels.
