Pune: An incident of vandalism occurred at a spa in Manjari on Friday evening after a customer accused the establishment of stealing money.
The complainant, Vinod Raosaheb Londhe, who works as the manager at the Luxury Spa located in Rajtara Complex, reported the case at Hadapsar Police Station. The police have registered a complaint against Pappya Kamble and his associates.
According to the police report, Kamble visited the spa for an Ayurvedic massage. Following the session, he claimed that ₹27,000 was stolen from his pocket and started shouting and abusing the manager. While the manager attempted to de-escalate the situation, Kamble called for backup.
Around 4-5 individuals arrived at the spa armed with sickles. They attacked the manager and proceeded to vandalize the property, including the computer at the counter, the glass windows, and the signboard.
The damage was extensive. As they left the premises, they threatened nearby shopkeepers, warning them against intervening or informing the police while brandishing their weapons to intimidate others.
Assistant Police Inspector Rokde is leading the investigation into the incident.
Earlier in September, a medical shop owner was brutally attacked after refusing to provide medicines on credit. The incident occurred at Shivshree Medical, owned by Vaibhav Tukaram Makhare (26), around 6:45 PM on Tuesday evening.
The accused, Manoj Sudam Adagle (40), a resident of the same locality, became enraged when Makhare informed him that the shop did not offer medicines on credit.
