Pune: Financial constraints often prevent many students from pursuing higher education beyond their undergraduate degrees, despite their strong desire to continue studying.

To support such students, a special scholarship program has been initiated through a collaboration between 'Sakal' and 'Agrowon,' in association with the educational institute 'SIILC,' and 'Deepak Fertilizers and Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.' under the 'Ishanya Foundation.'

The scholarship is aimed at students interested in enrolling in the 'Agricultural Entrepreneurship' course.

The 'Agricultural Business Management' course, which is offered by 'SIILC,' is a one-year, entrepreneurship-focused program designed for graduates from both rural and urban areas who wish to pursue a career in the agriculture sector.

This course is closely linked with agriculture and allied industries, emphasizing the development of skilled manpower. It includes a six-month internship directly within the industry, and offers assistance in job placement as well as starting individual businesses.

Despite the interest shown by many students, financial difficulties have often made it impossible for them to enroll in this program.

Recognizing this, the scholarship is being offered to students who have a genuine passion for learning but come from families with low annual incomes, enabling them to join the 'Agricultural Entrepreneurship' course. For further details, interested individuals can contact 9881099757.

Abhiraj Jadhav from Nashik, a scholarship recipient for the 2023-24 academic year, shared, "It was unaffordable to study and live in Pune, but the scholarship gave me the opportunity to study at a prestigious institute like 'Sakal' and 'SIILC' and secure a job."

Similarly, Rutuja Musmade from Pravaranagar, also a recipient of the scholarship for 2023-24, expressed, "I received a scholarship for further career education. I will definitely take advantage of this and fulfill my dream of becoming an entrepreneur in the agriculture sector."
