Speeding Dispute in Pune: Three Minors Detained After Fatal Stabbing of Youth

A heated exchange reportedly broke out over Akshay confronting one of the minors for speeding, which ultimately escalated to a violent assault.

Pune: In a tragic incident on Friday evening, a 20-year-old man was fatally stabbed by three minors following a dispute over reckless driving in Ganeshnagar, Hingne Khurd.

The victim, identified as Akshay Maruti Kirvale, was attacked outside his residence with a sickle, resulting in multiple injuries that led to his death.

The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. Akshay, who worked at a local sweet mart, was known to the three minors involved in the attack, as they all resided in the same neighborhood.

Senior Police Inspector Raghvendra Singh Kshirsagar of Singhagad Road Police Station and his team swiftly arrived at the scene following reports of the attack.

The police detained the three minors, who are currently in custody as further investigations unfold.

Earlier on October 8, in a severe road rage incident on the Alankapurm to Dehu Phata road, a minor altercation between a bullet rider and a car driver escalated, resulting in a devastating injury.

The pillion rider on the bullet lost his arm after it struck an iron electric pole while attempting to overtake the car at high speed.

In a distressing incident on Baner-Pashan Road reported in July, a digital content creator, Jerlyn D'Silva, was brutally assaulted after being chased for two kilometers.

The assault, which resulted in significant bleeding from her nose, was documented in a video she shared on social media. The Chatuhshrungi police are currently investigating the incident.

Jerlyn D'Silva, who has over 70,000 followers on Instagram, was riding her bike with two young children when a car driver attempted to overtake her.
