Pune: The state government has issued an ordinance approving the establishment of new regional offices for the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) and the creation of new positions to staff these offices.
Regional offices will be established in Satara, Solapur, Baramati, Ahmednagar, Jalgaon, Akola, and Chandrapur, with a total of 92 new positions sanctioned for these locations.
The Baramati Industrial Development Association had been advocating for a local MIDC regional office to better serve the thousands of entrepreneurs in the area, who previously had to travel to Pune for services. The association's persistent efforts, led by Vice-Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, have been successful, as confirmed by association president Dhananjay Jamdar.
Entrepreneurs in the Baramati area will benefit from having local access to services such as plot application submissions, allotments, possession, extensions, transfers, divisions, mergers, tri-party agreements for bank loans, inheritance recordings, name changes, and business type changes.
Previously, the Pune regional office, which also served areas like Hinjewadi, Chakan, Ranjangaon, Jejuri, Indapur, Kurkumbh, and Pandhare, was overloaded, causing delays in services for Baramati-based entrepreneurs.
The new Baramati office aims to alleviate these delays, said Jamdar. He also credited the cooperation of Ajit Pawar and Industries Minister Uday Samant for making this initiative a reality.
The Baramati Industrial Development Association's leadership, including President Dhananjay Jamdar, Vice President Manohar Gawde, Secretary Anant Avchat, Treasurer Ambirshah Sheikh, and members Mahadev Gaikwad, Manoj Potekar, Haribhau Thopte, Sambhaji Mane, Chandrakant Nalawade, Harish Kumbharkar, Harishchandra Khade, Vishnu Dabhade, Suryakant Reddy, Rajan Nair, Abhijit Shinde, Charushila Dhumal, Ujjwala Gosavi, and Madhav Khandekar, played a key role in advocating for the establishment of the new regional office.
