Pune: The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has confirmed that the dates for its upcoming Social Welfare Officer and State Service Preliminary exams will remain unchanged.

The Social Welfare Officer exam is scheduled for August 18, and the State Service Preliminary exam will be held on August 25.

This decision has led to significant concerns among students, as the August 25 date coincides with the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) Clerk exam. As a result, many students will have to choose between the MPSC and IBPS exams due to the scheduling overlap.

According to a statement issued by the MPSC, the Social Welfare Officer exam will take place on August 18, while the Civil Services Combined Preliminary exam is set for August 25.

This decision means that millions of students will face a scheduling conflict, as the dates for the IBPS Clerk exam and the MPSC exams coincide. Many students will have to choose between the two exams due to this overlap.

The IBPS Clerk exam schedule was announced in January, and the MPSC has already rescheduled its preliminary exam twice.

By setting the exam date for the third time on August 25, the same day as the IBPS exam, the MPSC has faced criticism from students who are frustrated by the scheduling conflict.
