Pune: Indian students seeking higher education abroad will have the opportunity to explore Ireland as a premier study destination during the upcoming Education in Ireland Fair.

The event, scheduled for September 29, at The Sheraton Grand Pune Bund Garden Hotel from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., will feature 18 top Irish higher education institutions.

This initiative, part of the #StudyEmeraldIsle campaign, aims to provide prospective students and their families with comprehensive information on various undergraduate and postgraduate programs available in Ireland. Representatives from participating institutions will be present to discuss course offerings, entry requirements, and post-study work options.

A notable feature of the Pune fair will be a specialized panel discussion on "The Future of Engineering: Emerging Trends," conducted by distinguished Irish academics.

Education in Ireland, the national brand representing Ireland’s HEIs, expects to see a substantial increase in Indian students enrolling in Irish universities, building on the success of 2023, when over 8,000 students from India chose Ireland for their higher education. Barry O'Driscoll, Regional Manager for India & South Asia, shared his enthusiasm, saying,

"Our goal is to position Ireland as a top destination for international students by offering world-class education, research opportunities, and post-study career prospects."

Attendees at the Pune fair will also receive crucial information on the Irish student visa application process, with a seminar led by representatives from the Irish Visa Office.

The event is designed to empower students by providing direct interaction with faculty and administrative staff, helping them make well-informed decisions about their academic futures.

In addition to Pune, the Education in Ireland fair will be hosted in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bengaluru. Organizers expect this year's events to surpass last year’s success in terms of participation and enrollment.
