Supplementary Exams for 10th and 12th Grades Start Today

The SSC exams will continue until July 30, while the HSC exams will run until August 8.

Pune: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education's supplementary exams for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC or 10th grade) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC or 12th grade) will commence today (July 16).

The SSC exams will continue until July 30, while the HSC exams will run until August 8. This year, 28,976 students have registered for the SSC supplementary exams, and 56,845 students have registered for the HSC supplementary exams.

The supplementary exams for July-August 2024 are being organized by the Maharashtra State Board across its nine divisional boards: Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur, and Konkan.

Students must be present in the examination hall by 10:30 AM for the morning session and by 2:30 PM for the afternoon session. Question papers will be distributed at 11:00 AM in the morning session and at 3:00 PM in the afternoon session. Board Secretary Anuradha Oak has advised students to follow the schedule published and printed by the state board.

Similar to the February-March 2024 exams, an additional 10 minutes will be allotted for each paper in the July-August 2024 supplementary exams. Practical, oral, and internal assessments, as well as grading, will be conducted online.

Detailed instructions and links for this process have been provided to all secondary and higher secondary schools and junior colleges by the divisional boards.

10th Grade:

  • Boys: 20,370

  • Girls: 8,605

  • Transgender: 1

  • Total: 28,976

12th Grade:

  • Boys: 36,590

  • Girls: 20,250

  • Transgender: 5

  • Total: 56,845
