Pune: Surakshakadi Digital Estate Services, a Pune-based legal tech startup, has unveiled the 'Surakshakadi' application, designed to simplify asset transfer during and after one’s lifetime.

This intuitive app features tools for creating e-Wills, managing a Digital Asset Wallet, and offering an all-encompassing Asset Transfer Service, aiming to streamline and demystify estate planning.

The launch was announced by Yogesh Agarwal, Co-Founder and CFO, alongside Deepak Bansal, Co-Founder and CMO of Surakshakadi Digital Estate Services.

Launched in 2022 by Saksham Agarwal, the startup's Director and CTO, the idea for Surakshakadi was born from Saksham’s personal experience during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he faced challenges related to asset transfer following a relative's death.

Driven to address this issue, Saksham developed the platform with initial funding from friends and family. Surakshakadi's new app is packed with features to ease the process of transferring assets.

The platform has received commendations from legal professionals and prospective users, earning endorsements from key industry figures. These collaborations aim to broaden Surakshakadi's influence, ensuring more families gain access to its efficient, transparent, and affordable asset transfer services.

Yogesh Agarwal highlighted, "Our goal is to close the gap by providing a user-friendly platform with services that streamline asset transfers. Unlike traditional, costly methods, Surakshakadi offers an efficient and economical alternative, sparing legal heirs from the usual complications and expenses tied to legal processes, brokers, agents, executors, documentation, and valuation."

Deepak Bansal remarked, "The app serves a wide demographic, including small business owners and salaried individuals. Currently, approximately 6,500 users have downloaded the app. While some features are complimentary, more complex services involving documentation are chargeable."

Notable Features:

  • Efficient Will Execution: Realize your intentions through our clear and effective asset transfer process.

  • Free e-Will Creation: Effortlessly create, download, sign, and upload your Will using the Surakshakadi app.

  • Secure Digital KYC: Complete your KYC process securely from the comfort of your home.
