Swargate: Ex-Boyfriend Detained for Grabbing, Harassing Girl

Pune: A young man, Abhijit Shravan Gaikwad, has been arrested for grabbing a girl's hand and harassing her at the Swargate bus stop, a crowded area, after she broke off their relationship.

Abhijit Shravan Gaikwad, 29, a resident of Adarsh Nagar, Wadgaon Sheri, was taken into custody by Swargate police following a complaint from a 22-year-old woman from Yerawada.

The complainant detailed how Gaikwad, her ex-boyfriend of three years, stalked and confronted her after she ended their relationship.

On Monday (August 5) afternoon, around 3:30 PM, while the complainant was walking near the Swargate bus stand, Gaikwad stopped her, grabbed her hand, and demanded that she marry him.

He verbally abused her and threatened to kill her and her family. The young woman, fearing for her safety, reported the incident to the police. Sub-Inspector Rahul Jog is currently leading the investigation.
