Symbiosis Skills and Professional University creates Experiential Learning

"Youth Skills for Peace and Development" theme highlights importance of skilling young people for promoting peace and sustainable development.

Pune: Symbiosis Skills and Professional University celebrated the ‘World Youth Skills Day’ with a host of activities for students. The program was inaugurated in presence of Dr. Swati Mujumdar, Pro-Chancellor and Dr. Rajesh Ingle, Vice-Chancellor, Symbiosis Skills and Professional University.

The day long initiative at it’s Kiwale Campus included various programs like Skill Competitions, Skills Demonstrations, Quizzes, Designing Skills, Health and Beauty Skills, Workshops ,fun activities, Career Counselling, Entrepreneurship / Start-up guidance etc.

Across various schools including School of Automobile Engineering, School of Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics, School of Retail Management, School of Beauty and Wellness, School of Mechatronics Engineering, School of Architecture, Urban Development and Planning, School of Digital Media Marketing, School of Data Science, School of Construction, Engineering and Management, School of CSIT, School of BFSI, School of Ports and Terminal Management & Logistics and Supply Chain Management and School of Sustainability Studies.

Dr. Swati Mujumdar, Pro-Chancellor, Symbiosis Skills and Professional University said that the idea behind celebrating skills day with a variety of events is to encourage students across various streams to acquire skills and be industry ready not only as job seekers but also job givers.

The World Youth Skills Day programs are an excellent platform for the students to interact with industry experts to gain insights on what the industry requires and team up with fellow students for various competitions. This helps to nurture, harness the potential of young minds.

The theme for World Youth Skills Day 2024, "Youth Skills for Peace and Development," highlights the importance of skilling young people for promoting peace and sustainable development.
