Three Detained as Terrorist Rumor Sparks Panic at Pune Hospital

Pune: A rumor about terrorists infiltrating Kamla Nehru Hospital in Pune's Mangalwar Peth area led to a state of panic on Wednesday (August 14).

The police quickly responded to the situation, taking three individuals into custody, who were later identified as residents of Bihar. The rumor started when a citizen reported suspicious activity involving four individuals near the hospital to the police control room.

Following this, Pune Police and officers from the state Anti-Terrorism Squad reached the site and immediately began their investigation.

The police confirmed that three people had been detained and that they were originally from Bihar, with Aadhaar cards found on them. They were currently residing in Lohia Nagar.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Sandeep Singh Gill visited the scene. Meanwhile, the rumor of terrorists entering Kamla Nehru Hospital caused widespread panic.

A large police force was deployed in the area, and the hospital's operations were temporarily halted. Citizens who had come for outpatient treatment were asked to wait outside for a while.
