Pune: The Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Gahunje will host a Test match between India and New Zealand from October 24 to 28.

With a significant influx of spectators expected to arrive in private vehicles, traffic congestion is anticipated in the surrounding area.

To manage the increased traffic flow and prevent gridlock, the traffic police have introduced several changes to traffic routes in the Gahunje area for the duration of the match.

Key Traffic Diversions:

Vehicles from Marimata Chowk to Masulkar Farm via Kiwale Nala: Entry will be restricted, and these vehicles will instead be diverted through Krishna Chowk.

Mamurdi Village to Masulkar Farm: Access will be closed, and vehicles will be redirected via the Mamurdi Check Post.

Post-Match Traffic from Mukai Chowk Bus Stop to Kiwale and Mumbai:

Vehicles traveling via the Kiwale Underpass towards Mumbai and Kiwale will not be allowed and will be diverted via Mukai Chowk, turning left through Samir Lawns and Kiwale Village.

Additionally, restrictions will apply to heavy vehicles traveling between Mamurdi and Kanetkar Bungalow, as well as Mardi and Gahunje Stadium.

These vehicles will not be allowed entry between 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

The same restrictions will apply to heavy vehicles using Krishna Chowk to Mamurdi Underpass and the service road adjacent to Mamurdi Village along the old Pune-Mumbai Highway.

Traffic authorities urge commuters to plan their journeys accordingly and follow the designated diversions to avoid delays.
