Pune: At a rally in Pune today, against the backdrop of the upcoming assembly elections, Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray, the leader of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction), launched a scathing attack on Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Addressing party officials and workers, Thackeray reiterated his stance, criticizing Fadnavis sharply.
"I do not challenge any bug; you do not have the capacity for it," Thackeray stated, referencing previous comments made at a Mumbai Shiv Sena rally. "Either you will stay, or I will. Some thought I was challenging them. I do not challenge any bug. I represent a cultured Maharashtra, while you represent those looting Maharashtra and the party. Bugs are not to be challenged; they are to be crushed with a thumb," he asserted.
Thackeray continued his tirade, dismissing claims made by Fadnavis. "You said, 'Do not mess with me.' You do not have the capability for us to mess with you," he retorted. "Those who cause destruction cannot stay in power. That is why I say either you will stay, or I will," Thackeray declared.
Thackeray also targeted the BJP, accusing them of failing to deliver on promises. "You ask Congress for a 70-year account, but within one year, Parliament is leaking, the Ram Temple is leaking. Who will account for this? We supported Modi out of Hindutva fervor, but now we see the truth.
That was Ahmad Shah Abdali, and this is Amit Shah. These are Abdali's descendants. What can those who eat Nawab Malik's cake teach us about Hindutva?" Thackeray exclaimed.
He further criticized the BJP for betrayal, citing Shankaracharya's reference to them as traitors. "Our Hindutva carries forward Shivaji's religion. Shivaji and Balasaheb Thackeray are watching my every step. Your power jihad has started," he said, condemning the BJP's actions.
Thackeray also criticized the "Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana," calling it a method to buy votes through bribery.
