Wadgaon Sheri Traffic Dispute: Youths Hunt Down, Assault Man in Brahma Suncity

Pune: A young man was pursued and brutally attacked with a stone and stick after a disagreement about driving. The incident took place around 7:30 PM on Tuesday, July 9, at the Brahma Suncity Society in Wadgaon Sheri. Four individuals have been charged in connection with the assault, as reported by the Yerawada Police.

Rajat Vinodkumar Pandey, 27, a resident of Brahma Suncity Society, Wadgaon Sheri, Pune, filed a complaint at the Yerawada Police Station.

Based on his complaint, Ayush Kadam, 19, Ayush Shinde, 19, both from Wadgaon Sheri Gaothan, and two others have been charged under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita including 117(2), 118(1)(3)(4), 115(2), 352, 351(2)(3), and 3(5).

According to the police, the complainant, Rajat Pandey, was on his motorcycle heading home when the accused sped past him on their motorcycle.

Rajat advised them to drive carefully, which angered the accused. They stopped a bit further ahead and confronted Rajat, accusing him of being at fault and hurling abuses at him.

After Rajat left, the accused followed him to his society, where they attacked him with a stone and stick, injuring him. They also threatened him with death before fleeing the scene. Police are continuing their investigation.

Knife Attack on Tadiwala Road

Pune: In a separate incident, a man was stabbed following an unprovoked argument and verbal abuse on Tadiwala Road on Tuesday night between 10:30 and 11 PM.

A complaint was filed by Atish Laxman Kelkar, 33, a resident of Tadiwala Road, Pune, at the Bundgarden Police Station. Aaron Rajesh Sindhavan, 19, a resident of Sariput Buddh Vihar, Tadiwala Road, has been charged in this case.
