Wagholi: Girl Injured in Accident Succumbs to Injuries

The deceased has been identified as Manisha Balasaheb Mandlik (23), a resident of Wagholi.

Wagholi: A woman, who was critically injured in a dumper collision in Wagholi, succumbed to her injuries on Sunday. After her death, the offence has been registered against the driver of the dumper.

The deceased has been identified as Manisha Balasaheb Mandlik (23), a resident of Wagholi.

On October 10, around 8.30 am, Manisha was hit by a dumper near the Chhatrapati Shri Shivaji Maharaj statue while crossing the Pune-Nagar highway in Wagholi. She was seriously injured when both her legs fell under the dumpster.

Her 23-day battle with death was a failure. She was in a private job, as well as support for her family. The dumper driver, Anil Shankar Turukmare (38), a resident of Titiksha Park, Alandi Phata, Lonikand, was booked the next day.

Senior police inspector Pandit Rejitwad of Wagholi police station said the offence has been extended against the driver after her death.
