Pune: A shocking case of domestic violence and kidnapping has emerged in Pimpri-Chinchwad, where CCTV footage has surfaced showing a woman being forcibly taken away by her husband and in-laws. The incident, which took place on June 19, has led to the registration of a criminal case at the Wakad police station.

The CCTV footage reveals the woman being abducted by her husband and in-laws. According to the police, the dispute between the couple arose from disagreements over physical relations. The victim reported that she was confined in a car and given sedative injections multiple times during the ordeal.

The couple had married a year and a half ago near Pune, but within days, disputes began over the husband's demands for physical relations. Unable to cope, the victim left her in-laws' house and stayed with her cousin.

Despite attempts at reconciliation, the issues persisted, leading her to leave again. Over the next few months, she traveled to Mumbai, Ghatkopar, and Delhi, trying to escape her husband's attempts to contact her.

The situation escalated when her in-laws discovered she was working in Wakad. On June 19, they confronted her with divorce papers and insisted she return with them.

When she refused, her husband forcibly took her into a car, along with a friend from her office. The friend was later dropped off as the vehicle left the city, and the victim was confined overnight in the car, where she was administered sedative injections.

The victim managed to contact the police with the help of a local youth while pretending to comply with her husband's demands. The police intervened, and a case is now being registered against the husband, mother-in-law, and a relative on charges of sexual harassment and kidnapping. The CCTV footage of the incident had gone viral on social media, which prompted the police to investigate this case on priority.
