Woman Alleges Harassment at Office, Case Registered by Swargate Police

Neelam Karale

Pune: A case of harassment has been registered against two men after a 31-year-old woman filed a complaint accusing them of inappropriate behavior at an office in Maharshinagar.

The incident, which occurred on February 27, 2024, came to light after the woman reported the incident to Swargate police.

The accused have been identified as Kunal Ravi Gulati (31), a resident of Balewadi, and Ranjit alias Vinod Tale (47), a resident of Poonam Park, Bibwewadi.

According to the complaint, the woman was called to their office, located in Sandhyaneel Society, around 10 p.m. She was kept there until 11 p.m., during which both men allegedly looked at her inappropriately.

Kunal Gulati reportedly held her hand and made suggestive remarks, to which she immediately reacted by pulling her hand away and questioning his actions.

In response, Ranjit Tale dismissed the incident, saying, "It was just a hand, what’s the big deal?"

The woman, feeling humiliated and distressed by the incident, decided to report the matter to the authorities. The police have taken her complaint seriously and registered a case under charges of harassment.

Police Sub-Inspector Poonam Patil has been assigned to lead the investigation. As investigations are ongoing, the Swargate police are continuing to gather evidence and statements related to the case.
