Woman Killed, Six Injured in ST Bus-Car Collision on Old Mumbai-Pune Highway

Pune: A devastating accident took place in Pune today when an ST bus collided head-on with a car on the old Mumbai-Pune highway in Bopodi, Khadki. The crash resulted in the death of one person and left 18 others injured.

According to reports, the accident took place in Bopodi, within the Khadki limits on the old Mumbai-Pune highway. The incident happened around 9 a.m. when the ST bus and the car collided head-on.

The ST bus had 12 passengers, while the car had 7 occupants. A woman in the car lost her life in the accident, and 6 others sustained serious injuries. The 12 passengers in the ST bus suffered minor injuries.

Upon receiving information about the accident, the police rushed to the scene, and the injured were immediately taken to Sassoon Hospital.

The condition of the 6 injured people from the car is very critical. The body of the deceased woman has been sent to Sassoon Hospital for a post-mortem.

The accident was so severe that the front of the ST bus was significantly damaged, and the car was completely wrecked. Following the accident, there was a major traffic jam on the old Mumbai-Pune highway.

Both damaged vehicles have been cleared from the scene. Traffic police are currently working to restore normal traffic flow. It is reported that the accident occurred due to the bus driver's loss of control. The Khadki police are investigating the incident.
