The second person who received the vaccine was William Shakespeare! Yes, you read it right. The 81-year-old had the shot at University Hospital Coventry on Tuesday, few miles from Stratford-Upon-Avon, the birthplace of his namesake, England’s greatest author and poet. The William hails from the same county where the famous English poet was born - Warwickshire. The 81-year-old said it was 'groundbreaking' for him to receive a shot.
Earlier on Tuesday, a 90-year-old grandmother scripted history to become the first person to receive the COVID-19 vaccine produced by Pfizer.
Margaret Keenan, who is turning 91 in few days, received her shot at the University Hospital in Coventry in the Midlands, as part of 'Operation Courageous', which is known as UK's biggest ever mass vaccination programme.
